Access Control

Usually, traditional access control devices need a server to be deployed and used together with a dedicated software platform. They cannot work independently from the software platform, which then increases the deployment cost. Card authentication – which is one of the most common door access methods – is limited in terms of swiping distance and swiping means, not mentioning the possibility to lose or forget the card. For small office scenarios with access control, attendance, intercom and video linkage requirements, a multi-system integration is proven difficult and requires complex management.

In response to the above challenges, Dahua developed the Insider Series Access Control System that is suitable for offices, galleries, factories, school other SMB scenarios. Its benefits include:

• Lightweight System: The platform serves as the controller. The main control has its own web platform. After logging in to the controller’s IP address on a PC, you can access the web platform of the controller to manage access authorization and use the access control functions. The one-click arming and disarming function revolutionizes the arming/disarming process of CCTV security systems. With this function, the selected alarm linkage functions can be disabled while errors and faults related to the devices (e.g. device error, network error) are not affected. It is ideal for homes and other similar application scenarios. There are 3 ways to enable this intelligent function:

• Device-side Configuration: Both front-end and back-end products support arming and disarming settings through the device side’s “Disarming” option, making management more convenient and configuration simpler.
• Alarm-in Port: It can be used to connect front-end and back-end products to third-party alarm devices (e.g. push button). This allows for seamless one-click control over the system when triggered by these external devices.

Dahua Security System (DSS)

DSS (Dahua Security System) is a unified Video Management System (VMS) that encompasses a wide range of features and functions within video surveillance. It manages cameras and recorders and is able to connect to third-party cameras via the standard ONVIF protocol. It offers several advantages such as:

• One PC Client Management: DSS has user-friendly UI/UE design with standardize components and easy-to-understand icons and functions. Its scenario-based design allows similar businesses to be completed in one module, and supports a unified system management in a single PC client. The system also integrates most of the Dahua products in one server (e.g. CCTV products, access control, video intercom, alarm controller, and more).
• Intuitive Map Application: All resources in the system can be displayed on a single map. When an alarm occurs, the corresponding point on the map will flash to indicate the exact location of the alarm. Dahua Mobile Security Surveillance (DMSS)

DMSS is an intuitive AIoT app for individual security. It can help users improve the efficiency of their security management by providing remote monitoring through real-time live views and video playbacks and receiving push notifications of alarms anytime and anywhere via the Internet. It is suitable for various application scenarios such as private homes and retail stores. In terms of easy usage, the DMSS platform has a lot to offer:

• Easy Account Registration: In addition to email registration, phone number registration was also added. The function in V1.99.700 has started in some countries and will be gradually rolled out to other countries in the subsequent versions in 2024. Users can also easily add devices, providing millisecond connection between cameras and apps, less interference from Wi-Fi bands, high pairing success rate, reduced configuration steps, and bulk device pairing to improve pairing efficiency.
