Dahua Plug & Play Technology

What is Dahua Plug & Play Technology ?

In the past, complex wiring and difficult configuration leads to low installation efficiency. Learning how to connect devices with such condition takes too much time and increases labor cost. Furthermore, messy cables also look unpleasant and annoying. To address this issue, Dahua integrated Plug & Play with PoC, PoE and other technologies designed to enable the front and back end of the equipment, making the installation more simple and convenient.

HDCVI System PoC Technology

For analog system, HDCVI has always been known for its Plug & Play feature. It only needs one coaxial cable to connect both the camera and XVR devices and display videos of the monitored scene. Users do not need to manually configure the network settings. The XVR can automatically recognize the camera‘s signal format for adaptive switching and displaying of video footages.
To further simplify the installation of HDCVI surveillance system, we released the HDCVI PoC (Power over Coax) system.
Key Point:
• Both video, audio, control signal and electrical power can be transmitted over one single coaxial cable.
• Eliminates the need for separate camera power supplies and no additional wiring is required, enabling Plug & Play feature in the entire system.

IP Plug & Play Technology Based on PoE System

Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a standard that allows Ethernet cables to transmit data and power simultaneously using a single network cable. This enables system integrators and network installers to deploy powered devices in locations that lack electrical circuitry. In addition, PoE eliminates the expense of installing additional electrical wiring.
Key Points:
• PoE NVR simplifies the system and saves electrical wiring and installation costs.
• PoE NVR can initialize and add camera automatically, greatly savinginitialization time.
• PoE NVR can add third-party camera automatically.

IP Plug & Play Technology Based on the Same LAN System

Plug & Play key point:
• When Plug and Play is enabled, the device automatically adds cameras on the same LAN.
• For uninitialized cameras, the device automatically initializes them before adding them.
• When the camera and NVR IP address are in different network segment, the NVR can modify the camera’s IP address to the NVR’s network segment.
