April 23, 2025 / Almaty, Kazakhstan. In partnership with Energo University, Dahua Technology inaugurated its first official training laboratory in Kazakhstan on April 18, marking a significant step in deepening industry-academia collaboration and fostering the development of local talents in the field of information security.
The opening ceremony was attended by Gani Nygymetov, Rector of Energo University, and Ren Guanhao, Director of Dahua Kazakhstan, alongside other university officials and Dahua representatives. Energo University is currently the first and only higher educational institution in Kazakhstan to house a dedicated Dahua training lab.
The facility offers students majoring in Information Security Systems a wide range of practical learning opportunities, including:
- Hands-on experience with cutting-edge Dahua equipment
- Training in video surveillance, access control, fire and gas safety systems
- Access to Dahua’s international certification programs
- Internship and career opportunities with Dahua and its ecosystem partners
Equipped with state-of-the-art devices such as smart video surveillance systems, thermal imaging, AI-enabled smoke and gas detectors, and video recorders, the laboratory provides an immersive learning environment for students to further develop their professional skills.
Ahead of the laboratory’s launch, three faculty members—Tatyana Golubeva, Viktor Taylakov, and Azamat Kalpebayev—completed a series of specialized trainings and received certification as official Dahua Instructors, enabling them to deliver training programs in line with Dahua’s global standards.
